The Singer’s Gym for Pop Singers
This Gym will be especially geared for professional, semi-professional and
pre-professional singers of jazz, blues, rock and other popular genres. The
focus of our sessions will be how to fully inhabit a song: how the singer brings
a song to life through a closer connection to music, words, imagery, space, and
emotion. The standard Singer’s Gym format of warm up, work out and cool down
includes expert coaching on individually selected pieces.
The Singer’s Gym for People Who Want to Sing

• Do you secretly yearn to sing even if a teacher or choral
director once told you can’t?
• Do you have a secret ambition to get up in front of an
audience and let loose in song?
• If you answered “yes” to any of these questions then this
workshop is for you.
Recognizing that most people enjoy singing and many don’t have much opportunity
to just sing, The Singer’s Gym is hosting the first-ever workshop for People Who
Want to Sing. In a relaxed, playful and yet focused atmosphere, participants
engage in fun warm-up games and exercises and then receive coaching on any song
they bring. This is a great opportunity to get out of the house and have some
fun. It’s also a great community-building event.
